Te Mata Chardonnay
The Chardonnay grapes were harvested in three different sites owned by Te Mata around the Hawke’s Bay region: Woodthorpe Terraces, Bridge Pa Triangle and Havelock Hills. In the winery, the juice was fermented in part stainless steel, part barrel. The wine was then left to age on its lees in barrel and a little malolactic fermentation was allowed to take place for more texture and a creamy note.
Tasting Note: White nectarines, white peaches, lychee, pear, marmalade on toast, creamy nougat and spice. The palate is full and rich. Pair with: Pork chop piccata with green beans – Mini rocket & ricotta pizzas – Oysters with pomegranate.
